What Are Shaped Shutters?
Shaped shutters are shutters which have been specifically designed for windows outside of the standard square or rectangular shape that is most common amongst homes in the UK.
As all our shutters are measured and manufactured completely bespoke for your window, we are able to create a solution for even the most obscure shapes. Unlike curtains, which may completely cover a beautiful statement window and provide very little privacy during the day or blinds which are more difficult to manufacture to certain window shapes, shutters are able to fit perfectly onto a shaped window.
The shutter frames can be manufactured in line with your window’s shape and the louvres will slot in beautifully to allow the same light control and privacy you’d get with a standard shaped window.

WOODEN SHAPED SHUTTERS
Solid hardwood is the most suitable material for shaped shutters due to its durability and strength. Given the unusual shape of the shutters, solid hardwood doesn’t put pressure on the hinges, unlike cheaper materials such as MDF, which could lead to the panels becoming loose or even falling off.
Available in the same beautiful paints and stains as all our shutter styles as well as a range of louvre sizes and hinges, you can really create a versatile and beautiful window styling solution. Depending on the shape of your window, it may not be possible that all our shutter style options or louvre mechanism options are available.
