The Simplest Way To Clean Your Honeycomb Pleated Blinds

Grab a soft feather duster or a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment for regular dusting. Exercise caution to avoid applying excessive pressure on the pleats, which could lead to fabric damage or creasing.

In order to vacuum efficiently, vacuum from left to right along the folds of the pleats. Be mindful of the suction on the vacuum so as not to pull or damage the fabric.

If you find dust build up within the pleats themselves, you can use a hairdryer on the coolest setting to blow the dust away. Blow through each honeycomb pocket from one side of the blind, and any loose dirt and dust should come out the other side.

Regular dusting will ensure that dust, dirt and dander doesn't build up and require more intensive cleaning later on.

For more tenacious dust on the honeycomb blinds, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth dipped in tepid water. Gently pass it over the pleats to remove the dust build up. Start from the top and work downwards to avoid redoing the work. Ensure the cloth is damp and not wet.

For stains like food spills or oily marks, a combination of warm water and a soft cloth should be effective. However if you feel like a little extra help is required, you can use a mixture of mild detergent and water. Gently dap with a damp cloth on the stain. Do not rub as this could damage the fabric. Leave your blind to dry completely before operating.
